Record Passenger Numbers in January
Passenger traffic at Sofia Airport continues to smash records as 468,968 passengers passed through during January, an increase of 43% compared to the previous year.
Terminal 1 reached 216,000 passengers, an increase of 69%, as Wizz Air and Ryanair both now have flights out of Sofia.
Passenger numbers will continue to break records this year – with very high growth numbers in the first 3 quarters of this year. We now anticipate that passenger numbers will exceed 6 million in 2017.
